Terms of Use

Effective date: May 7, 2026.

Floor Planner is a browser-based 2D planning tool for sketching rooms, placing openings and furniture, checking clearances, and saving project files locally. The service is provided as a general planning aid and is not a substitute for professional architectural, engineering, construction, code, or safety advice.

Projects are stored in your browser using local browser storage. Floor Planner does not create user accounts or sync project files to a server in this version. You are responsible for keeping backups of any project data you want to preserve, including exported JSON files.

JSON import and export features are provided for your convenience. You should only import files from sources you trust and should review imported plans before relying on them. Floor Planner is not responsible for lost, corrupted, inaccurate, or incompatible project data.

You are responsible for how you use plans, measurements, furniture placements, recommendations, and exported files. Confirm all dimensions, clearances, building requirements, product specifications, and site conditions before making purchases or physical changes.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, scrape, reverse engineer, or offer as your own service any Floor Planner code, design, user interface, text, data, brand elements, or services without permission.

You may not use Floor Planner for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or security-compromising activity, or in a way that interferes with the operation of the service or other users' access to it.

Floor Planner may show affiliate links and references to external websites. If you follow an external link, the third-party site controls its own content, products, prices, availability, policies, and data practices. Floor Planner may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

Floor Planner is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Floor Planner disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Floor Planner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, purchase decisions, construction decisions, or reliance on plans created with the service.

Floor Planner may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
